Current turnaround for applications is 3–4 weeks.

The purpose of the ACSI certification program is to provide qualified Christian school educators with professional credentials. An applicant must have a bachelor’s degree from either an accredited, ACSI-approved, or ACSI-recognized college or university, and should have or will be required to complete training in the biblical philosophy of education, formal Bible instruction, and appropriate teacher and/or administrator training.

ACSI certification is available to qualified teachers and administrators of all nations. The ACSI certification program for administrators and teachers is a requirement for ACSI school accreditation.

Early Education Certification information is found in a separate location.

Who? How Much Time?

Currently ACSI has between 40,000 and 50,000 teachers and administrators on file in its certification program. Thousands of teachers and administrators are applying each year. Turn around time for processing applications varies throughout the year, so please contact the Certification Department in regard to your application.

Datawise Bible Tests

ACSI is pleased to offer a new option for those needing to obtain CEUs in biblical studies for their ACSI certification renewal. We have created a series of Bible tests that may be purchased and taken online to receive CEU credit toward renewal or upgrade of your ACSI certification. There are currently 2 tests available at $50 per test. Each test that is purchased and passed (85% proficiency) is worth 5 CEUs.

This test is similar to a “CLEP” test in that you have only one opportunity to pass the test and receive credit. If a test is purchased and not passed, it cannot be taken again unless purchased again. When a test is passed, print out your report and hold it in your files to submit along with your materials for your next renewal.

To get started, go to Datawise Bible Tests.

 Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Are there any classes or study materials available?
A: The only study material is the Bible testaments themselves. The test is recommended only to those that feel they have sufficient knowledge of the old and new testaments to pass a general survey test.

Q: How long is the test?
A: The test is made up of 50 multiple choice questions.

Q: How much time does the test take?
A: The test is not timed, however when the page is inactive for 5 minutes, you will be forced to restart a new version of the test.

Q: Can I re-start the test if I am disconnected or taken away?
A: You can, but you will have to start from the beginning and a new test version will replace the previous test.

Q: How do I receive credit for a passed test?
A: When a test is passed a report will be available for you to print out. This must be submitted along with your other renewal materials when the time comes to renew. Test results are not automatically submitted to ACSI.

Q: What happens if I purchase the test but do not pass it?
A: Once a test is completed and submitted, the results are final. To take the test again, a new test must be purchased and a different test version will be presented.
