Kandern Guesthouses
Black Forest Academy has contracted many establishments in and around Kandern to provide for your housing needs. Housing is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Guesthouses in Kandern are located within walking distance of BFA. If you are assigned to a guesthouse in an outlying area, shuttle service will be provided to transport you to and from BFA each day.
If you will stay in a guesthouse for either March 26–31 or March 27–31, you may include your payment with your other registration charges when submitting your registration paperwork.
If you need to arrive earlier than March 26 or leave later than March 31 and will need housing accommodations during those times, you must email the ACSI Conference Coordinator and the BFA Conference Coordinator to secure and pay for a guesthouse. Please be aware that the conference rate does not apply to dates outside of March 26–31, and you may pay as much as €100/night to arrive early or stay late. After your alternate dates are received, you will be contacted directly and billed for the total of your housing costs, payable to ACSI.
Palmgarten Dorm
BFA has made several rooms in Palmgarten Dorm available during ICEC Europe. Room assignments in Palmgarten are on a first-come, first-served basis. If you want to stay in Palmgarten Dorm you must indicate this on your registration form. You must also email both the ACSI Conference Coordinator and the BFA Conference Coordinator. If you register for Palmgarten after the rooms are filled, you will be placed in one of the Kandern guesthouses. You will be billed for the cost of housing.
Palmgarten dorm is only available from March 26–31. Those wishing to arrive early or stay late for ICEC Europe must stay in a guesthouse.
The first night of stay in Palmgarten dorm is $75, equal to the non-refundable deposit included in full-conference registration. Subsequent nights are $30/night. Totals listed do not include first night of stay, as this charge is included in the registration fees.
Single rooms are not available for those choosing the Palmgarten option. Please be prepared to share a room and bathroom with other participants.
Those wishing to stay in Palmgarten will need to bring their own sheets, bedding, towels, toiletries, etc. By opting to stay in Palmgarten Dorm, you are agreeing to share responsibility for maintenance of the dorms, cleaning your accommodations after the conference, and helping with breakfast in the dorms. If you are unable or unwilling to comply with these requests, we kindly ask that you request housing in a guesthouse for the ICEC Europe conference.
Housing payment must be made through ACSI during the conference registration process. Your housing reservation form will not be accepted until payment has been received by ACSI.
If you choose to register using the day rate and will need housing accomodations, please contact the Conference Coordinator, as the one-night deposit is not included in the Day Rate registration costs.
