Exemplary School Program

Last Updated Dec 3, 2010

*Exemplary—a: serving as a pattern b: deserving imitation; also: deserving imitation because of excellence

Do you have a program in your school or a component in your early education (EE) center that is truly exemplary, as defined above? Are you willing to ‘share’ that program with fellow Christian school educators around the world?

How can my school participate?

Member schools (EE–12) are encouraged to submit an explanation of a program or component in their school/EE center for consideration as an Exemplary School Program (ESP). Guidelines for submission are as follows:

  1. Review the submission categories to make certain the program meets the criteria. There are separate categories for K–12 programs and EE components.
  2. Complete the submission form (EE or K–12). Save the form to your computer, complete it, and send it to ACSI.
  3. Forward the completed form as an email attachment to:
  4. Submissions will be accepted at any time.

How are Exemplary School Programs selected?

Submissions received will be evaluated by a selection committee at ACSI Headquarters using a rubric based on the Criteria for Evaluation and Selection of an Exemplary School Program below.

What is new about the Exemplary School Program?

Unlike prior years, there will not be a mass recognition in a single issue of Christian School Education (CSE) or Christian Early Education (CEE). Rather, recognition will be made in CSE or CEE throughout the year as submissions are received and deemed worthy of recognition. In addition, schools/centers with a selected program will receive a framed certificate and an ACSI voucher.
