The ACSI Student Activities Program seeks to encourage and inspire students toward a standard of excellence in leadership, communication, and performance by enhancing the academic and fine arts education program of the Christian school. It provides opportunity for the practical application and development of skills necessary for confident Christian leadership.

Each activity is planned to impact the educational and spiritual growth of each student, encouraging them to be a testimony to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Each event also seeks to provide opportunity for Christian fellowship and positive interaction between students and teachers of participating schools.

The official activities registration form will be available Monday August 2nd, 2010.

Early Registration is August 1–October 15 and is $40.00 per event.
Late Registration is October 16–November 15 and is $80.00 per event.
After November 18, registration may only occur if there are spots available and 8 weeks before the event date.  The rate will be $100 per event.

If you are interested in seeing what is involved in hosting, please reference What You Need to Host for information and fill out the  Master Calendar Form.  Complete this form and return to the southeast regional office. Members schools may register from August 1st until mid–November. Without these additional events, many schools will find themselves without any local events. Contact the  to host an event.

Participants are to follow the national handbooks for all events except Music Festival, Band Festival, and Piano Festival as these are run differently in each region. All regionally specific information for each event will be listed in the Participation Manual and the event letter for each event. Unless otherwise specified, each individual Student Activity has a specific handbook and forms available by selecting Student Activities Handbooks or Student Activities Forms in the right hand column. Please note that the handbooks are password protected, and your school must have registered and received the password from your Regional Office. Below are documents and forms that are specific to the Southeast Region. These are to be used in addition to the ACSI Student Activities Handbooks and Forms.

New Event!  Desktop Publishing Festival

The purpose of the ACSI Desktop Publishing Festival is to provide Christian School students with the opportunity to explore digital publishing that reflects the voice and vision of the student. Since this student event is for the expression of Christ honoring publications, they are expected to reflect the guidelines of Philippians 4:8..."whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy,think about such things".

Geography Bee

This relatively new event will be in its third year in the southeast region in Fall of 2010. We will expand the number of sites in our seven states. What a success! The schools and student involved last year had a wonderful time and can't wait to compete again this year! The first annual Regional Geography Bee will be held in Atlanta on March 26, 2011.

Math League

Winners List for 2010–11

The Southeast region had a number of schools place in the national math league competition.

Pre-Algebra, North Asheville Christian School, Asheville, NC, 2nd place
Algebra I, Briarwood Christian School, Birmingham, AL, 2nd place
Algebra II, Fayetteville Christian School, Fayetteville, NC, 2nd place
Geometry. North Raleigh Christian School, Raleigh, NC, 1st place
Pre-Calculus, Christian Academy of Knoxville, Knoxville, TN, 1st place
Calculus, no placement this year

The Math League competition is held between the first Monday of March and the second Friday of April. The results need to be in to the regional office by the second Friday of April. The national test is administered and completed by the first Friday of May.

Fellowship of Christian Cheerleaders

The FCC Cheer Camps are sponsored and administrated by the Fellowship of Christian Cheerleaders (FCC). Unlike many cheer camps, these events are designed to build team cheerleading skills while discipling athletes in their walk with Jesus Christ.

Southeast Regional Spelling Bee

The Southeast Regional Spelling Bee is always held in the spring in Atlanta, GA. It is open to the top four winners from each District 5–8 bee in the region. At the bee, students in 5th–8th grade spell together until the top four winners are determined. Those four are eligible to go on to the National Spelling Bee always held in May in Washington, D.C.

This event will be held on March 26, 2011 at the Sheraton at the Atlanta Airport.  Registration form, schedule, map, and lodging information will be posted here in the winter of 2011.
