Purpose

The ACSI Student Activities Program seeks to encourage and inspire students toward a standard of excellence in leadership, communication, and performance by enhancing the academic and fine arts education program of the Christian school. It provides opportunity for the practical application and development of skills necessary for confident Christian leadership.

Goal

Each activity is planned to impact the educational and spiritual growth of each student, encouraging them to be a testimony to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Each event also seeks to provide opportunity for Christian fellowship and positive interaction between students and teachers of participating schools.

Day of Hope—Classrooms for Africa Project

What Can Your School Do?

The Need:
The African Christian Schooling movement is growing faster than schools can be built.

The Goals:
To provide assistance to communities who have taken on the challenge of educating children living in poverty.
To build and equip classrooms and provide teacher training.

The Focus:

The area from Sudan down the east coast of Africa to South Africa, with initial emphasis on SA and Zimbabwe in the south and Uganda and Sudan in the east.

  • The cost to build a classroom ranges from $6,000–$10,000 Canadian dollars, depending on the location.
  • Your school could set a goal of raising enough money on the Day of Hope to build a partial wall, one or two walls, or possibly a whole school.
  • Choose a day in the next few months to take part in our annual Day of Hope Fundraiser.
  • A promotional flyer outlining the approved projects and other details will be available in January.
