Program Description
ACSI Destinations is a uniquely Christian cross-cultural exchange program administered by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). The program encourages cross-cultural learning among ACSI member schools, their staff, students, and communities. Opportunities are available for schools to host and to send students. Students attend participating ACSI member schools (host schools) in another country and live with Christian host families or in school boarding facilities for a semester or year.
The program began in August 2008 with nearly thirty middle and high school students from South Korea attending seven ACSI member schools in the United States for the 2008–09 school year. Opportunities now exist for North American students to study in other countries as well.

Standards
ACSI Destinations is organized according to accepted practices in the exchange program industry. The program strives to abide by the standards established by the Council on Standards for International Educational Travel (CSIET), a non-profit that identifies, monitors, and evaluates reputable exchange organizations. Each host school has a host school coordinator (HSC) who provides the students and their host families with local, ongoing supervision and assistance throughout the year. HSCs are supported in their roles by the Destinations U.S. program coordinator who works out of ACSI headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO.

International Student Programs
A secondary function of Destinations has evolved as it has become more well-known. The program also provides advice and assistance to all ACSI member schools wishing to admit international students, start international student programs, and improve their existing international student programs.

Smile, everyone!
