Founded in 2003 by Dr. Tim Elmore, Growing Leaders is a non-profit organization based in Atlanta serving K–12 schools, universities, sports teams, youth organizations, and churches as they teach, mentor, and coach the next generation. The mission of Growing Leaders is to turn ordinary students into growing leaders who will transform society. This is accomplished by providing innovative events and resources that teach character, leadership and soft skills specifically for emerging leaders. Growing Leaders helps students discover their strengths, learn effective people skills, and develop a vision for their future. In addition, we provide training events and resources for faculty, staff and parents to help them better understand, connect with, mentor and parent this emerging generation. Over the past 13 years, Growing Leaders has served more than 8000 schools and youth organizations in the United States and around the world.
Growing Leaders is most recognized as the creator of the Habitudes® series of books and associated teaching curriculum. Habitudes uses the power of images, conversations and experiences to teach timeless character and leadership principles in a way that today's students like to learn. The Habitudes curriculum has been translated into 12 different languages and has been used by thousands of schools and organizations around the globe.
