Leave a Legacy in Support of Christian Schooling

A Gift in Your Will or Living Trust: the easiest way to support the Foundation

Interested in helping the ACSI Education Foundation advance the strategic growth, influence and the effectiveness of Christian schooling worldwide  but feel overwhelmed by the thought of writing another check or giving up your assets today? A simple, flexible and versatile way to ensure we can continue to make an impact in the future of Christian schooling for years to come is a gift in your will or living trust, known as a charitable bequest.

Charitable Bequests are one or two sentences in your will or living trust that leave the Foundation a specific item, an amount of money, a gift contingent upon certain events or a percentage of your estate.

By including a bequest to the Foundation in your will or living trust, you are ensuring that we can continue making a difference in the lives of Christian school students around the world. Your gift also entitles your estate to an unlimited federal estate tax charitable deduction.

Beneficiary Designations
Passionate about supporting Christ-centered education even after your lifetime?  It's not only possible, it's easy to do with a beneficiary designation. Just name the ACSI Education Foundation as a beneficiary to receive assets such as retirement plans and life insurance policies after you're gone. You simply fill out a form that is entirely separate from your will-which makes this approach an easy way to give. Not only is it an easy way to give, but it's also flexible-you aren't locked into the choices you make today. You can review and adjust beneficiary designations anytime you want.

Donor Advised Fund
A donor advised fund is a charitable giving vehicle administered by the Foundation and created for the purpose of managing charitable donations on behalf of an organization, family, or individual. A donor advised fund offers the opportunity to create an easy-to-establish, low cost, flexible vehicle for charitable giving as an alternative to direct giving or creating a private foundation.

Endowments
You can make a gift to establish a designated endowment that uses income from the fund to support the ministry of Christ-centered education well into the future. Choose to support a specific program or service (i.e. school improvement, leadership development) or a global office on the continent of your choice.  Minimum endowment gift is $10,000.

Gifts that Provide Income

Charitable Gift Annuity
Set up an irrevocable future gift to ACSI and receive immediate tax benefits plus a reliable income during your lifetime. A charitable gift annuity involves a simple contract between you and the Foundation where you agree to make a gift to the Foundation and we, in return, agree to pay you (and someone else, if you choose) a fixed amount each year for the rest of your life.

Charitable Remainder Trust
Looking for a way to give the ACSI Education Foundation a significant gift? If you have built up a sizeable estate and are also looking for ways to receive reliable payments, you may want to check out the advantages of setting up a charitable remainder trust. A charitable remainder trust provides you or other named individuals income each year for life or a period not exceeding 20 years from assets you give to the trust you create. Benefits of a charitable remainder trust include:

  • A partial charitable income tax deduction
  • Potential for increased income
  • Up-front capital gains tax avoidance
