Search & Teach Workshop

EE Banner

March 15–16, 2018, Holden, MA

The Search & Teach workshop will equip educators to assess learning profiles and to provide intervention services for young students in Grades K-2. Specifically targeting foundational learning skills, SEARCH is a 20-minute individual screening tool designed to identify 5 and 6-year-olds vulnerable to learning difficulty, and will provide a profile of individual strengths and weaknesses—in the foundational skills necessary for reading success. Developed and tested over a four-year period, TEACH is a program of 55 learning tasks that are available to address the needs identified by SEARCH. This is an individualized program, but does allow for some small group work of review activities with children of similar needs.

Professional Development

This workshop is eligible for 12 hours of professional development (two CEUs). The training is appropriate for early education directors and teachers, teacher assistants, resource room and social services faculty.

Registration Cost

$499 per educator; includes the Search & Teach Kit (minimum of 8 participants).
