The research focus for the Winter Webinar Series is around the Flourishing domain of Relationships (Trust-filled, supportive, and authentic relationships between all school constituencies, as well as with the surrounding community, are key to flourishing outcomes (e.g., between leaders and teachers, leaders and the board, families and teachers, teachers and students, students and peers, school leadership and the community, and the school itself with the community) and the Flourishing construct of Leadership Interdependence defined as leaders, including board members, have diverse backgrounds and are transparent about and rely on others to offset their weaknesses.

 

Leadership as Coach

The best leaders are great coaches to those they lead. In these lessons, we’ll explore the characteristics of effective Leader Coaches as well as give you a practical model to help you coach others. specifically, The COACH Model: Learn to use The COACH Model™ to lead others more effectively and personally evaluate your leadership wake.  (December 6. 2022)

Flourishing Faculty Member Josh Swig


Josh Swig

Josh Swing helps fulfill the mission of Wildsparq by empowering organizations to create movements of multiplying leaders within their culture and for the good of their people. Always smiling, always willing to learn, and then share his newfound wisdom with others, Josh has spent time speaking to organizations such as Chick-fil-A, Travel Nurses Across America, America's First Federal Credit Union, and many others. He graduated from Bethel University (TN) where he was an NAIA scholar-athlete playing basketball collegiately while earning a degree in Business Management. Josh and his wife, Erin, now reside in Birmingham, AL where they have 2 kids, Elliott (3) and Graham (2), plus 1 on the way. You'll typically find him nerding out on leadership content, attending imaginary tea parties hosted by his daughter, or serving on the board of directors for youth basketball leagues in his community.
