CA/HI Band/Orchestra Festivals

The ACSI Band/Orchestra Festival provides an opportunity for bands to be adjudicated and hear bands from other schools. Students in grade four through eight (4–8), or four through twelve (4–12) at some locations, are eligible to participate. They must be part of a functioning group within a school.

The music selected for the Band/Orchestra Festival should be well-prepared for performance and will be adjudicated. An extra original copy of each score must be given to each adjudicator (measures must be numbered). Each band is allowed approximately 25 minutes for adjudication.

The festival is not a competition; each group is judged on its own merits against a standard of excellence. Each band will receive a certificate of participation, a written adjudication, and a rosette for display at their school.

Fees

School Fee: $65 by October 31 ($85 thereafter)

Student Participation Fee: $80 per band if postmarked by the Chairperson's deadline ($90 thereafter)
