Jr. and Sr. High Speech Meets (Mid-America Region)
The ACSI Mid-America Jr. and Sr. High Speech Meets are designed to give students in grades 6-12 the opportunity to develop techniques to speak audibly, articulately, expressively, and with poise and confidence. Students demonstrate their ability by delivering a memorized poem, speech, or passage. Participants do not compete against one another, rather, they are judged against an established set of criteria.
Host Partnership Agreement
ACSI is bringing this year's Jr. and Sr. High Speech Meets to ACSI member schools through a Host Partnership Agreement with faithful host sites. The speech meets will have the same feel, with handbooks developed by ACSI and registration at ACSI's website. But beyond that, all communication, planning, and event materials (including handbooks and participation forms), will be distributed to registered schools through the host site.
