South-Central Math Olympics-DISTRICT Math by Mail
Math Olympics—District (Math by Mail) provides an opportunity to stimulate interest and recognize the achievements of students in mathematics in grades 3–8. Students are given a series of timed tests in either computation or reasoning. Answer sheets are mailed to the host location for scoring. Awards are then mailed to each school.
In the South-Central region, the Math by Mail event, also called Math Olympics—District, is the qualifying event for the Math Olympics-Area event. Qualified students travel to the host location to participate in the Math Olympics—Area event.
For more information see Math Olympics—District (Math by Mail) in the South-Central Student Activities Participation Guide.
