I thank my God every time I remember you! (Phil. 1:3)

In his opening remarks at this year's Professional Development Forums, ACSI President Dr. Dan Egeler shared beautifully about the importance of raising up a generation of modern-day Daniels and Esthers in a "comfort and wealth" culture that's all about "me." He also drew attention to a fascinating, research-based book by Dr. Michael Zigarelli titled Cultivating Christian Character. It focuses on how to become the person God wants you to be and how to help others to do the same. Check it out!

As our Professional Development Forums wind to a close later this month, with our final PD Forum of 2017 at LCA in Lynchburg, Virginia, it's important you know that we're already planning and preparing for 2018! I hope you will make room in next year's school calendar—and in next year's budget—to be a part of this blended PD environment for you and your faculty. Seek out those who attended this year and ask them what they thought. The feedback we're receiving is very encouraging!

In 2018 we plan on returning to Winston-Salem (Oct. 11–12) and Birmingham (Oct. 25–26). You can look forward to outstanding live presentations, interactive breakout sessions, and peer-to-peer roundtables, along with wonderful fellowship and connecting opportunities. ACSI is working hard to craft PD offerings that will help your school fulfill the challenge of becoming all it can be for God's glory!

We love you and thank God for you, so we will continue to pray for you and with you; to serve you and to strengthen you and your school any way we can, because it's true: we are Stronger Together!

Happy Thanksgiving,

Dr. David Balik
Regional Director
