Student Activities

Cultivating skills that will contribute to effective leadership and ministry in their futures, ACSI Speech Meets help students develop techniques to speak audibly, articulately, expressively, and with confidence in an audience situation. Students do not compete against one another; they are judged against established criteria.

A school may enter the equivalent of one student in each category from each homeroom. It is the school's option to either select students per homeroom or conduct a grade level competition and select the number of students for each category equivalent to the number of homerooms at that grade level. Students are limited to participation in one category, within their own grade level.

There are two levels of Speech Meet events available for schools to participate in: Speech Meet (Grades 1-8) and Speech Meet (Grades 6-12). All Speech Meet events in 2020-21 are virtual and will be facilitated through our Student Activities E-vents platform online. The Submissions Deadline for all video recorded student entries is April 16, 2021.
