Student Activities
All Speech Meet events in 2021-22 will be for students in Grades 1-8. The ACSI Student Activities Team is working to develop a new Speech & Debate program for Junior High/High School students starting the 2022-23 school year. Because of this exciting change, we will not be offering the Speech Meet for Grades 9-12 in 2021-22.

Cultivating skills that will contribute to effective leadership and ministry in their futures, the ACSI Speech Meet helps students develop techniques to speak audibly, articulately, expressively, and with confidence in an audience situation. Students do not compete against one another; they are judged against established criteria.

Students in grades 1-8 are eligible to participate in the ACSI Speech Meet. A school may enter a maximum of 36 entries and are encouraged to spread those entries evenly between grade levels and categories. Students are limited to participation in one category, within their own grade level.

The Speech Meet will be offered as both in-person and virtual events in 2021-22. In-person Speech Meets are hosted by ACSI member schools; dates vary. Virtual Speech Meets are facilitated through our Student Activities E-vents platform online and the Submissions Deadline for all video recorded student entries is April 8, 2022.
