Haiti Christian Schools Need Our Help
Our Christian school family in Haiti is suffering great loss in the wake of Hurricane Matthew. A category four hurricane, Matthew hit Haiti's southern coast October 4 and wreaked great havoc—including ACSI member schools. Nearly 20 schools sustained severe damage and 14 were destroyed. Precious resources such as books and equipment were also lost. As the northern hemisphere's most impoverished nation, Haiti has little resilience with which to recover from such a disaster.
To come alongside our Haitian brothers and sisters in Christ, ACSI has established a Hurricane Relief Fund that will be administered by our office in Haiti. Damage is being assessed and a formal application process established. Our schools need our help at this critical time, and I encourage you to prayerfully consider how your faculty and students can quickly and creatively raise support to assist in their recovery. Please join us in praying that schools will be restored so they can continue to meet students' spiritual and educational needs.
We offer two ways to give:
- Online at www.acsi.org/give (choose Hurricane Matthew Relief from the drop-down menu).
- By check payable to ACSI, Hurricane Relief, PO Box 65130, Colorado Springs, CO 80962
Thank you for joining hands with us in meeting this great need. If you have questions, please email our Development Department.
