The purpose of this award is to recognize individuals who have dedicated all, or a significant portion of their professional career, to Christian schooling. This award is for educators and Christian school personnel who have served at the preschool through 12th grade level and who are entering formal retirement at the conclusion of the current school year.
Nearly 150 individuals have been recognized since the inception of this program in 2003. ACSI member schools are encouraged to submit the names of individuals who meet the criteria listed below.
Award Criteria: (all criteria must be met to be eligible for this award)
- A minimum of 35 years of service in education, with at least 25 of those years in Christian schools;
- A minimum of 10 years of consecutive service in the same Christian school/system;
- For non-administrators at the P–12 level, a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or formal credentials, or;
- For administrators at the P–12 level, a minimum of a master’s degree or formal administrator credentials;
- Entrance into formal retirement from Christian school service at the conclusion of the current school year.
