Early Education Director’s Certificate
- Valid for five years
- For directors, 18 years or older, working in early education programs (birth to pre-kindergarten five-year-olds) and who posses a Bachelors degree with at least 24 semester hours in child development or early childhood education and 9 semester hours of college course work in administration/business. The course work must include training in leadership development and supervision of adults.
- Transcripts must include the degree, the date of the degree, and the name and location of the college or university. Transcripts must be official.
Requirements
- Have a Bachelors degree, as stated above, and fulfillment of state regulatory requirements
- Hold a valid first aid card
- Hold an infant/child CPR card
- Have completed the ACSI Principles and Practices of Christian Early Education Course
- 12 Bible clock hours
Acceptable training might include:
a. Christian education courses (submit a short written summary if no certificate has been issued)
b. Walk Through the Bible/Bible Study Fellowship type courses
c. Attendance at children’s ministry conferences
d. Bible courses taught during teacher conventions
e. Bible courses taught though Christian college

Renewal Process
- Hold a current first aid and infant/child CPR card
- Completion 12 additional clock hours in Bible
- Completion of 50 additional clock hours of professional growth in early childhood education/administration
