This two-volume set is a compilation of 600 hands-on elementary science activities taken from WonderScience magazine, sponsored by the American Chemical Society. The activities are colorfully designed for fifth through eighth graders but can easily be adapted for younger or older students. All these activities focus on the process of “doing science.”

Books on coaching from a Christian perspective are rare. Until newer and more complete manuals are published, Neal’s work is recommended.

The Math Learning Center
EQUALS programs: The EQUALS programs at the Lawrence Hall of Science, University of California at Berkeley, provide workshops and curriculum materials in mathematics. They serve preK- through 12th-grade teachers along with parents, families, and community members. One of their outstanding resources, the book Get It Together, contains reproducible cooperative-learning activities. Their Family Math program provides take-home activities for families.
Nasco On-line Catalogs: Nasco’s catalogs have been billed as the “math teacher’s favorite catalog!” Nasco produces particularly good resources for teaching geometry.
