Northeast Distance Learning Webinars
The ACSI Northeast (formerly Mid-Atlantic) Region has expanded its webinar offerings for the 2009–10 school year. These webinars are provided as a professional development service to ACSI member schools. Each webinar qualifies for credit hours towards a Bible or a professional Continuing Education Unit (CEU), as well as state clock hours.
Schools interested in participating in these events must have the following hardware components to access this live media presentation:
- Computer with high-speed Internet connection
- Video projector to display the PowerPoint presentation onto a large screen (only necessary for large groups)
- A telephone connection or Voice over IP (VoIP) may be used for the audio component of the webinar. Your computer should have a quality speaker (or speakers attached) and a microphone if you wish to use VoIP. To listen only, no microphone is required.
In addition to the distance locations that will be receiving the live media broadcast, school educators are able to attend the live presentation on-site. There must be a commitment to attend each part of the offered topic, with the ability to arrive 15 minutes prior to the time of broadcast.
