"The Administrator Internship program provided me with real life experience under the guidance of a mentor so there was little chance of failure. By participating in the everyday administration of my school, I learned by seeing, hearing, and doing. As I observed my mentor I learned what to say. Hearing her tone as well as her words was direct training in how to respond to parents, staff, and board members in a peaceful manner. As I gave admission tests, did observations, and wrote various documents, I gained knowledge that I will definitely use when I am an administrator." Intern
ACSI wants to identify the next generation of administrators serving in member schools, and encourage and equip them for Christian school leadership.
Are you a current ACSI teacher with the interests and gifts for pursuing Christian school administration? The shortage of Christian school administrators has become critical. Would the ACSI Administrator Internship be a good fit for you?

Comments from past Interns and Mentors
"As far as the requirements for the Internship program, I want to say what a great introduction it was as to the real aspects of the actual job. So many of my required experiences were extremely beneficial in helping either to shape my mind as to what the issues really were or actually give me experience in areas that were relevant to what I would need to know and do." Intern
"You (ACSI) have developed a very fine program, and it has been a tremendous blessing to me to participate in it once again this year. Each component is so valuable to the intern and presents numerous opportunities for dialogue and growth." Mentor
"Speaking as an administrator, I feel that our school greatly benefited by participating in this (internship) program. I would enthusiastically recommend it to other schools. The program definitely helps the intern determine whether God is calling them to the field of administration while allowing them to experience directly the time commitment and energy demands, the importance of a sense of call, and the many other facets of this work."
