This packing list includes suggestions of items you may wish to bring in order to make your stay at Houghton College more enjoyable. These items are not required.
Participants will be housed in non-airconditioned dorms, apartments, and townhouses that are not equipped with amenities like a hotel room. They don’t have hangers, soap, or a phone. The nearest large general store is approximately 20 miles away. Each apartment/townhouse is equipped with a full kitchen including a microwave, stove, and refrigerator, but no supplies (flatware, dishes, glasses) are provided. Free laundry facilities are located near both housing locations, but laundry detergent and fabric softener are not provided. Houghton College provides linens for all PFO participants.
