From My Heart to Yours is a special communication written periodically throughout the school year by the ACSI President to member school administrators.
Ken Smitherman, ACSI President (retired 2009), wrote From My Heart to Yours until his retirement. From his retirement message in May 2009:
Thank you for your faithfulness and diligence to the leadership tasks where God has placed you. The near countless conversations I’ve had with Christian school leaders and teachers have provided some of the richest encouragement. So many have shared both challenges and God’s amazing provision.
I pray God’s continued leading for you; I pray for wisdom beyond your greatest imagination as you seek His face in every aspect of your decision making. And I would like to call your attention to a passage of Scripture that most of us have committed to memory, yet so amazingly, in reading it just a few days ago I received such a powerful new reminder of what it says about worship:
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is true worship." (Romans 12:1, TNIV)
It is my personal prayer to be such a living sacrifice.
