ACSI’s Vision 2030: Center for School Improvement Driving Global Growth

The Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) continues to make great strides toward Vision 2030, a strategic initiative designed to strengthen and expand Christ-centered education worldwide. We recently asked Cindy Dodds, ACSI’s Chief School Improvement Officer, to share some exciting updates related to the Center for School Improvement.

Key Achievements

One of the most significant milestones has been the development of three complete sets of Global Core Standards—for Teachers, School Leaders, and School Improvement. Each of ACSI’s eight global divisions is now evaluating its programs against these standards to determine where alignment exists and where amendments may be needed.

“These standards bring about alignment,” Dodds explained. “They provide quality assurance measures that will ultimately lead to improved research and stronger outcomes for schools and students worldwide.”

Current Trends and Developments

As ACSI implements Global Core Standards, several important trends are emerging:

  • Biblical Worldview Integration Training: Schools are seeking deeper training in weaving a biblical worldview across all subjects and practices.
  • Credentialing Growth: There has been notable expansion in policies and procedures related to teacher and leader credentialing.
  • Demand for Online Products: Schools and educators are increasingly turning to digital platforms for training and resources.

“These developments point to the growing desire for excellence in Christian education across the globe,” Dodds said.

Vision 2030 Updates

Progress toward Vision 2030 has also included new initiatives that expand reach and impact:

  • Higher Education Partnerships: ACSI divisions in East Asia, Africa, and South Asia are building excellent partnerships with higher education institutions to strengthen credentialing pathways for teachers and leaders.
  • Leadership Training Coursework: Coursework is currently being developed to equip Christian school leaders globally, ensuring they are prepared to guide their schools.

Looking Ahead

Through these initiatives, ACSI is advancing its mission to strengthen Christian schools and equip Christian educators worldwide. With Global Core Standards as the foundation, and with a clear focus on leadership development, credentialing, and biblical worldview integration, the Center for School Improvement is playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of Christian education.
