Senior Leadership

Association of Christian Schools International / ACSI / About ACSI / Senior Leadership

Larry TaylorI am inspired by the faith, courage, and reverence for God by Christian educators around the world! It reminds me of the story recounted in I Samuel 17 about David defeating Goliath. In verse 29, David’s response to the inaction of his elder brothers and the Israelites especially encourages me. He boldly and nobly answers the call to action by asking, "Is there not a cause?”

I can think of no greater cause than to partner with you as you advance Kingdom education. We fully believe that authentic devotion to the Christian faith and academic excellence are mutually reinforcing. There are not two or three forms of excellence, but rather an ethos that is cultivated throughout every facet of our schools. Faith is not separated from learning but rather integrated intentionally, resulting in a distinctive Christian worldview.

Scholarship and learning become an integral component to the maturation process known as discipleship. Thus, becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ, the ultimate objective of the Great Commission (Matt. 28:16-20), is the prize for which we strive; it is the highest form of excellence! It is certainly conceivable that we could produce students with the spiritual depth needed to enter our pluralistic society and not fall prey to empty philosophies. Rather, they would be equipped to saturate the marketplace to which God has called them with confidence, purpose, and an eternal perspective.

ACSI’s ongoing mission is to strengthen Christian schools and equip Christian educators worldwide as they prepare students academically and inspire them to become devoted followers of Jesus Christ. We want to serve you as you continue to cultivate and sustain a flourishing school. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you—thank you for your obedience to God’s call on your life—you are indeed making a difference.

The Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Roger Cressey as Chief Information & Technology Officer and Juan Cabrera as the Vice President of Information Technology.

ACSI President & CEO Dr. Larry Taylor believes these strategic changes will position the organization for continued optimal success. Specifically, the organization is pursuing its Vision 2030 initiatives, building out a new Global IT Platform connecting all seven ACSI global divisions with multi-currency and multi-lingual functionality.

"We are dedicated to hiring and bolstering exceptional talent to propel ACSI forward in the realm of IT infrastructure," he shared. "We look forward to Roger and Juan’s contributions and believe their unique skillsets will best serve our member schools."

Cressy will lead the development and execution of a global IT strategy aligned with the organization’s mission and Vision 2030 goals. He will also oversee IT governance, cybersecurity, and business systems while driving innovation and ensuring technology solutions effectively support ACSI’s global impact.

Cressy served as the Corporate Finance Systems director at a company called Diversey working with the senior leadership team at that organization. He was also the global director and Founder of Qubix and possesses a strong background in corporate finance systems and company divestitures and acquisitions.

Cressy shared his goals and aspirations for his new position.

“I am delighted at the prospect of serving a dedicated team of men and woman who are globally changing education one student, one teacher, one school at a time,” Cressy said. “I am privileged to bring a wealth of multi-national experience to bear on the unique and complex challenges ACSI faces in its vision to facilitate biblical worldview education around the globe.”

ACSI has also announced Juan Cabrera as the Vice President of Information Technology.

Cabrera has a wealth of experience that spans project management at Young Life to serving as IT Infrastructure Manager at the United States Olympic Committee. Through these roles, he has gained deep expertise in organizational systems, IT infrastructure, and cross-functional team leadership, equipping him to drive strategic technology initiatives in complex environments.

In his role, Cabrera will be responsible for overseeing daily IT operations and advancing the organization’s global technology strategy. This position plays a critical part in ensuring security, reliability, and performance of IT systems while aligning technology initiatives with organizational growth.

ACSI President & CEO Dr. Larry Taylor shared how these changes are a part of ACSI’s strategic Vision 2030.

"We remain committed to advancing the gospel,” he said. “These efforts will enhance ACSI’s ability to provide quality, Christ-centered resources to thousands of Christian educators across the globe.”
