The Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) continues to advance Vision 2030, a strategic plan designed to strengthen and expand Christ-centered education around the world. We recently asked Jerry Nelson, ACSI’s Chief Ministry Officer, to share some of the most exciting updates related to the Ministry Team’s initiatives.
Key Achievements
One of the Ministry Team’s most significant accomplishments has been the successful launch of the Flourishing Families Initiatives. This new field of ministry seeks to strengthen the partnership between Christian schools and the families they serve, fostering environments where students can thrive academically, spiritually, and relationally.
Current Trends and Developments
According to Nelson, there is growing momentum around the concept of Educational Deserts—areas where Christian schooling is not easily accessible.
“There is a lot of excitement about Educational Deserts,” Nelson shared. “This resonates with many organizations. There is considerable groundwork being laid internally that will affect other initiatives. It appears that the Lord is working in other’s hearts. It will be exciting to see how the Lord allows for some great synergy in some of these areas.”
This developing focus has the potential to expand ACSI’s reach into underserved communities, opening doors for collaboration with like-minded organizations and churches.
Looking Ahead
As Vision 2030 moves forward, the Ministry Team is committed to building on this momentum—strengthening families, addressing educational deserts, and laying the groundwork for future partnerships. These efforts reflect ACSI’s ongoing mission to advance Christ-centered education globally and to ensure that more students and families have access to the life-changing benefits of a flourishing Christian school experience.
