Reflecting on ACSI's Day of Prayer

January 8, 2026

Christian schools across the globe united for ACSI’s 2025 Global Day of Prayer, setting aside time to seek the Lord together, celebrating  the theme “Abide.”

Students and faculty across campuses and time zones united in prayer, engaging in creative expressions such as building prayer vines, rotating through prayer stations, and contributing to prayer walls. Together, these moments reflected a shared commitment to remain rooted in Christ and connected as one global Christian school community.

ACSI’s Day of Prayer is one of the association’s most popular events. It unites schools across countries and refreshes commitment to the calling of Christ-centered education.

Schools each year join together and celebrate in creative, innovative ways.

Bethlehem Christian School in Pennsylvania rotated through prayer stations focused on Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication. The school also welcomed families and staff to join in prayers from home and work, expressing gratitude for volunteers who helped lead activities.

Each hour in Ohio, Liberty Christian Academy students created intentional moments of worship, reflection, and intercession.  The school celebrated the leadership of its students as they prayed for God’s guidance and protection over their country, community, school, and fellow Christian schools.

Tri-County Christian School in Illinois centered its Day of Prayer on John 15, emphasizing the call to abide in Christ through continual dependence on Him. In preparation for the event, students shared requests on a prayer wall, encouraging peers to pray for one another and fostering a spirit of unity within the school community.

At Covenant Life School in Maryland, students participated in building apple trees to show how they “connect to their source,” creating prayer vines filled with requests for others, and crafting wooden ornaments representing fruits of the Spirit they hope to see grow in their lives. Through these engaging activities, students explored Scripture, worship, and acts of service in meaningful ways, taking home tangible reminders.

Together, these schools reflect the heart of ACSI’s Global Day of Prayer.  The 2026 Day of Prayer is scheduled for Feb. 24 and the theme is “Power of Prayer.”
