Paul Matthews
Author, Consultant, Christian Educator
Paul Matthews is a third-generation educator on a mission to bless others through education. He lives this out in four domains of practice. He calls them the 4Cs:
Classroom: As a full-time History teacher at Calvin Christian School in Tasmania, Australia, I am passionate about engaging students in meaningful learning experiences.
Consulting: I guide school leaders and teachers in navigating AI wisely, focusing on practical, evidence-based strategies that enhance classroom impact.
Company: As the CEO of MyTeacherAide.com, I develop AI tools designed by educators to help teachers save time, foster creativity, and fast-track evidence-based practices. Our tools integrate curriculum seamlessly to make a bigger impact in education.
Creative: I write daily on LinkedIn, author books, and design courses to equip educators to teach wisely in a rapidly changing world.
Let's talk if you're interested in exploring wise teaching and learning in a changing world.
Keynote Topics:
Leading Your School Wisely Through AI: A Philosophical Approach
Artificial intelligence is driving rapid transformation, challenging schools to respond with wisdom as they navigate the problems and possibilities. For Christian schools, the question is: How can this response be both theologically sound and educationally rich? In this keynote, Paul introduces the LEAD framework, offering a practical model to guide Christian schools in thoughtfully integrating AI while staying true to their Christian mission and fostering quality, holistic education.
Pedagogical Hospitality: A Practical Vision for AI in Our Schools
As artificial intelligence impacts education, Christian schools must consider how to use AI tools in ways that align with their mission. What is the deeper purpose guiding AI’s integration in our classrooms? In this keynote, Paul unpacks a vision for 'pedagogical hospitality', exploring principles and practices that use AI to welcome learners into rich, formative learning experiences that nurture their heads, hearts, and hands.

Be Authentic: The Five Marks of a True Christian Educator
Every believer is mandated to make disciples. Every believer is called to this until the ends of the earth understand and know that Jesus Christ has been given all authority over every aspect of creation. As Christian schools, we are tasked with, and it is stated in our mission and vision in some form to produce faithful followers of Jesus Christ. If we are to do this effectively, then this must be an inside-out thing. We must believe and practice what we hope others will receive. We must be authentic! In this first session, we will explore the five marks of a true Christian educator by reflecting on the practices of Jesus, our master teacher.
Prepare with Excellence: BWI Principles and Practices
A student is not above his or her teacher. A teacher who prepares with excellence will teach with excellence, and their students will experience excellence. How does the authentic Christian educator deliver a transformative education to their students? In this session, we will take a deep dive into the third mark of a True Christian Educator: Prepare. We will explore 16 essential questions to aid teacher preparation for Biblical Worldview Integration.
