ACSI Career Center
The ACSI Career Center is an excellent place for schools to find qualified candidates (and for teachers to find work). Each U.S. member school receives five free 60-day job postings ($995 value), and each international (non-U.S.) school receives eight free 270-day postings ($6392 value).
Drive prospective students to your school from our website. They simply enter the zip code and every ACSI school in that area pops up. It's a great way to market your school.
As an ACSI member school, getting consultation on day-to-day educational challenges is as easy as making a phone call. Every school is part of an ACSI division, and each division has an office staffed by education professionals who are knowledgeable about issues specific to your area. These staff members are also available to school administrators and board members during annual training events. Additionally, employees at ACSI headquarters are available to answer questions on human resources, legislative, and other issues.
ACSI provides an excellent opportunity for Christian educators to network through Community. Professional development events take place throughout the country, so it's easy to connect with people in your geographic area. You can also network with people from around the world through ACSI's online community, Community, where all ACSI members (including each member of your staff) can connect in "communities of practice" based on teaching assignment, academic discipline, or area of interest or expertise.
ACSI's Legal Legislative Issues Department tracks and offers guidance on public policy issues and laws that affect schools, provides consultation and resources, and produces a practical newsletter for member schools multiple times a year. These are membership opportunities available at a discounted fee. Additionally, ACSI can connect schools with its network of attorneys that specialize in religious liberty and school matters and also help schools manage their legal costs through ACSI's Legal Defense Reimbursement Program (LDRP).Legal
Purposeful Design Publications, the publishing division of ACSI, is committed to the ministry of Christian school educations. PDP helps educators and schools worldwide prepare students for life through biblically sound materials that reflect Christian scholarship and stewardship. Members can take advantage of free reviews of Purposeful Design student textbooks.
Blog May 9, 2022: Expected Student Outcomes: A Help, or Just Hype?
In the last five to ten years, there has been an increased emphasis on establishing expected student outcomes (ESOs) and using them throughout the school. Accreditation protocols at all levels require these student learning outcomes and colleges have used these as the basis for program and institutional effectiveness measures. Is this just a case of adopting some educational jargon, or is there an actual benefit behind this increased emphasis? In other words, are ESOs a help to schools in fulfilling their missions, or are they more educational hype?
