“One of the most encouraging aspects of this work is seeing how God is actively moving in the hearts of school leaders. There is a growing sense of calling, not just to educate, but to intentionally serve students who may have historically had limited access to Christian education,”—Dr. Justina Jenkins, ACSI Director of GRAACE Initiatives.

In alignment with Vision 2030, ACSI’s GRAACE initiatives (Gender, Race, Ability, Academic, Culture, Economic Status) are driven by a desire to foster biblical unity within Christian schools, empowering educators in their mission to make Christian education accessible to all students.

Key areas of growth include:

  • Development of practical tools and resources, such as the School Improvement & Readiness Checklist, to help schools assess readiness for expanding diversity and take actionable steps.
  • Increased engagement with school leaders through opportunities like the Flourishing in the City events and advisory groups like the GRAACE National Council.
  • Cross-department collaboration within ACSI, ensuring GRAACE is integrated into accreditation, professional development, and student programming.

“We are sensing a spirit of collaboration amongst our school leaders,” Dr. Jenkins shared. “They are sharing stories of transformation, where schools are adjusting practices, strengthening support systems, and creating environments where students feel seen, valued, and discipled. This includes participation in Flourishing in the City events, ongoing dialogue, and collaboration beyond the sessions to improve what is happening within their schools.”

Overall, the ACSI Ministry Team overseeing GRAACE initiatives is deeply committed to ensuring educators have the resources and support they need to reach all students with the gospel through Christ-centered education. Shifting from a posture of awareness to implementation, the team is pursuing authentic relationships with school leaders, equipping them not just with ideas, but with the tools and confidence to take next steps in strengthening their school environments.
