The International Math Competition
is designed to celebrate and cultivate mathematical excellence worldwide. It serves as the ultimate platform for aspiring mathematicians in grades 3-8 to demonstrate their adept skills, challenge their intellectual capacity, and push the boundaries of their mathematical competency. The IMC allows students to grow in ways that honor their God-given talents, fostering a deeper appreciation for the gifts they’ve been given and a stronger sense of purpose in using them.

Schools can register students for two different categories of math testing: Computation and Reasoning. Computation questions focus on applying math skills students already know—the steps are clear, and success depends on accurately performing the arithmetic. Reasoning questions, on the other hand, require students to determine what math needs to be done; they must think through the problem, decide on the operations or steps, and then solve. When registering students, you will need to provide their name, grade level, and indicate which test(s) they will be taking.

The competition is a digital event only. All testing will be conducted online at each registered school for each level.

Level 1

Level 1

02/03/26–02/13/26

In this initial level, participants will tackle a diverse array of fundamental mathematical problems, testing their understanding of basic concepts and problem-solving abilities. To advance to the next level, students must achieve a minimum score demonstrating proficiency in foundational mathematical principles.

Price: $20

Level 2

Level 2

03/9/26–03/20/26

Those who successfully navigate Level 1 will face even more complex challenges in Level 2. Participants will need to demonstrate a deep understanding of advanced mathematical concepts and exhibit exceptional problem-solving prowess. Only those who meet the rigorous criteria for excellence will progress to Level 3.

Price: $30

Level 3

Level 3

04/07/26–04/17/26

The pinnacle of the International Math Competition, Level 3 is reserved for elite mathematicians. Here, participants will encounter the most demanding mathematical problems, requiring ingenuity, creativity, and precision to solve. Only the top performers from Level 2 will have the opportunity to compete at this level, where one student per grade level per category will be esteemed as the International Math Champion.
